In this article, following our previous feature on Airecel’s chef Mateo Lobillo, we want to highlight our front-of-house team, especially our Maître, Yazmina, and how she leads the daily operations to ensure an unforgettable dining experience.

YAZMINA’S CAREER PATH

Born in Sóller, Yazmina joined the Aimia Hotel team in 2007 with solid experience in the hospitality industry. Before arriving at Airecel Restaurant, she worked at renowned establishments in Port of Sóller such as Café Albatros, Hotel Edén, Asgard Pub, San Ramón Restaurant, and Sa Sinia Restaurant. She started her career at Airecel as a waitress and, season after season, specialized in Mallorcan cuisine, gaining extensive knowledge of local products such as Sóller prawns, Tramuntana lamb, and regional wines.

Thanks to her dedication and passion for service, she was appointed Maître of Airecel Restaurant in 2022, taking on the leadership of a team committed to delivering exceptional hospitality.

DAILY OPERATIONS AT AIRECEL RESTAURANT

Yazmina’s day begins at 7:00 a.m., organizing breakfast service with her team. Afterward, she checks with the chef for the day’s specials and available fresh products. She also coordinates with the reception team to prepare the dining area based on the day’s reservations for both lunch and dinner.

Her responsibilities extend beyond the restaurant, as she also manages the Aimia Hotel’s bar, ensuring smooth operations in all areas. The front-of-house team rotates between these three zones to provide a personalized and close customer service experience.

At the end of dinner service, the team prepares the dining area for the following day, ensuring every detail is ready for another unforgettable experience.

After more than 15 years at the Aimia Hotel, Airecel Restaurant has become a second home for Yazmina. As she puts it: “For me, Aimia has always been a very family-oriented place. I want our customers to feel at home and enjoy their stay. My priority is to offer quality and service, ensuring every guest leaves happy.”
